A love lost

You say you want your man to love you
Well he does
Could your insecurities
Make him roam the streets
You get what you ask for
But are not sure what you are asking
Be careful what you ask for
At one point of time
He left you feeling insecure
You say you forgave him
But somehow you can’t forget
Now you are trying to match up
With what you think his standards are
Are you willing to change?

Now you are upset

But it seems to not work

What is it that he really wants?

That’s what you keep thinking
You spend time to figure it out
1 minute turns into 3 years
and you are still going through
Now you are really losing it
You are losing him
Because you lost yourself
Trying to fulfill his every need
And not your own
You cannot accept
That thing were not meant to be
