Harlem Mentors Inc- New York

Linwood Sessoms- Co-Founder of Harlem Mentors
Patrick J. McCloskey- Author of "The Streets Stops Here"

I had a busy weekend. I rode six long hours to support the Harlem Mentors Inc. Harlem Mentors is an educational and recreational organizational that serves at-risk disadvantage and underprivileged young men and women between the ages of 11-21. Their goal is to motivate youth to stay in school by providing mentorship to young adults. They want to improve NYC’s at risk student’s social stability.

I am a good friend with one of the co-founders, Linwood Sessoms. This event was very classy and motivational. It was worth the drive and I will keep you posted on all the Harlem Mentors Inc. events. I actually got a chance to meet the author of The Street Stops Here- Patrick J. McCloskey. The book takes you through the journey of Rice High School in Central Harlem. My good friend Linwood in the book, so I know it will definitely be worth the read. Check it out. I have not had a chance to finish reading it yet.
