How to you feel about domestic violence?

Power and Control Wheel

We can say we do not approve of domestic violence, but are we practicing what we preach?

Take a look within yourself. Let’s step outside of the box for a minute. No one is perfect and some situations we cannot control, but what do you plan to do about a bad situation? Everybody has a story. What’s yours?

I have never been a physically abusive situation. But, now I read on what domestic violence is and that it can actually be emotional. Then, yeah I have been emotionally abused before. To be exact several times, by different partners. I have been put down and discouraged. I also know many friends who I have been physically abused, but failed to do anything about or try to justify as if it did not hurt them. I think that self-respect is the key and it's something that we as women need to build within ourselves. This is positive and I'm proud that someone is doing something because our society needs it. How do I feel about domestic violence? I wish a man would try me. lol As far as emotional abuse. Today I will make a commitment to myself and before God. I AM NOT GOING TO TOLERATE IT! Tears have just filled my eyes. This is so powerful.
